The Executive Council

The Executive Council of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah was established under law No. (7) of 2012 with the aim of assisting His Highness, the Ruler, in drawing developmental economic and social visions, and public policies of the Emirate, as well as empowering government agencies to provide public facilities and serve the society. Responsibilities of the Executive Council include:

  • Formulating general policies in various fields under the supreme supervision of the Ruler, and supervising their implementation.

  • Taking the appropriate measures to implement local laws, including the preparation of regulations, decisions, and orders.

  • Approving draft laws, decrees, and decisions, referring them to the competent authorities, following-up their ratification by the Ruler, and taking the necessary decisions to ensure their implementation.

  • Approving development plans and supervising their implementation after being ratified.

  • Approving draft regulations and issuing them upon approval of the Ruler.

  • Supervising the work of the administrative body in the Emirate, monitoring its performance and the coordination between its units.

  • Supervising the proper implementation of laws, regulations and decisions.

  • Establishing and supervising departments, agencies and government entities that serve the Emirate's interests, and monitoring their activities.
