The Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince attends the "A Call From Space" event that brought together the people of the emirate with Sultan Al Neyadi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Executive Council, attended by several dignitaries, senior officials, school and university students, and members of the community, witnessed the sixth event in the "A Call From Space" series, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Ras Al Khaimah, at the Higher Colleges of Technology for Women in the emirate.
On the occasion of this interactive event, His Highness the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah affirmed that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, "may God protect him," continues to achieve exceptional and unprecedented scientific achievements that enhance the country's position in the field of space exploration regionally and globally.
His Highness stated that the innovative Emirati minds and competencies are capable of overcoming challenges and harnessing science to achieve sustainable development and continue the journey of excellence in all fields, receiving the attention and support of the wise leadership, which provides them with all the possibilities and elements of excellence.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah added, "We are proud of the achievements and ongoing achievements of the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, in terms of scientific research and achievements, as he embarks on the longest space mission in Arab history aboard the International Space Station... Achievements that history will immortalize, and will remain a beacon illuminating the path of hope and aspirations for the sons of the Emirates, and an inspiration for future generations to contribute to enriching the scientific knowledge of humanity as a whole, and building a bright future for the nation."
His Highness affirmed that Ras Al Khaimah is keen on supporting and empowering youth and enhancing their capabilities to delve into the study of science and technology, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah... "Today, we are proud of the achievements of the people of the emirate, which reflect their firm will and serious desire to raise the UAE's name and elevate its status in various fields."
At the beginning of the event, Sultan Al Neyadi welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, saying, "I am extremely honored by your presence today, and express my deep gratitude and appreciation for your firm and unwavering support."
The Emirati astronaut expressed his happiness at interacting with the audience, sharing more information and scientific research related to the details of his mission, which is the longest space mission in Arab history, aboard the International Space Station.
In addition to His Highness, the event was attended by His Excellency Yousef Hamad Al Sheibani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, and His Excellency Salem Hamid Al Marri, Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, and several dignitaries and decision-makers in government and private entities.
More than 1,000 participants attended the interactive event, where Al Neyadi had the opportunity to answer questions from the audience about the most important scientific experiments he participated in aboard the International Space Station, the end date of his mission and return to Earth, how astronauts obtain water in space, as well as how he monitors climate changes aboard the International Space Station, in addition to answering a question about the most enjoyable activity he performed aboard the station.
Al Neyadi informed the audience about the number of robots present aboard the International Space Station.
His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi for his gracious presence, and the enthusiasm shown by students and guests today is the best evidence of the passion that will drive a new generation towards the boundaries of space and scientific exploration in the coming stage... indicating that this event, which we witnessed today, will engrave passion and curiosity among future generations of astronauts.
He affirmed that the ambition extends beyond hosting these events; we aim to instill a culture of innovation and prepare future leaders ready to take major steps to enhance the prosperity of the space sector in the United Arab Emirates."
On his part, His Excellency Salem Hamid Al Marri said, "We thank His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi for honoring us with his presence, which added great value to this important event. We also express our sincere appreciation to all attendees who joined us today. The scientific efforts driving missions such as those conducted by Sultan aim to increase our knowledge and open the door for humanity to form a greater understanding of the universe. Through "A Call From Space," we aim to facilitate knowledge exchange and ignite public interest in space exploration."
It is worth mentioning that the UAE Astronaut Program, managed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, is one of the projects funded by the ICT Fund, which is part of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Digital Government, and aims to support research and development in the ICT sector.
